About Vincent's Clam Bar

The Year Was 1904 And The Place Was New York’s Little Italy. Giuseppe And Carmela Siano Emigrated From Italy With Hopes Of Creating A Better Life For Their Son Vincent. With A Love And Desire To Share Their Knowledge Of How To Prepare And Serve The Food They Missed From Back Home, They Began Selling Seafood From A Pushcart On The Corners Of Mott And Hester Streets In New York City. People Began Coming From Near And Far To Sample Their Calamari, Scungilli, Shrimps, Mussels And Clams; All Prepared With Their Soon To Be World Famous Mild, Medium, And Hot Sauces. Because Of The Overwhelming Success Of Their Business, They Decided To Move Into The Storefront On That Same Corner Naming Their New Restaurant After Their Son.

I celebrated my birthday at Vincent’s Clam Bar with my grandma and aunt, and we had such a great experience from start to finish. The food was amazing, the portions were huge, the prices were more than fair, and the service really made the whole night feel special. Our server, Sabrina, was awesome. She was super bubbly, knew the menu really well, and gave honest recommendations, which I really appreciated especially since I work in the service industry myself. She was attentive without hovering, and everything came out at the perfect pace. We ordered a bunch of appetizers, and as we finished each one, the table was cleared quickly and efficiently. Nothing ever sat around too long, but we also never felt rushed. We started with the stuffed mushrooms, which were easily a 9/10. The mushrooms were nice and tender, and the stuffing had great flavor. My only tiny criticism is that after the second one, the flavor got a little repetitive but they were still really good. The baked clams were an 8/10. They were super tender, but could have used a little more seasoning for my taste. The mussels in white sauce were fantastic. They were clean, tender, flavorful, and had plenty of garlic whi

Amazing food! We Always make it a point to eat there when we're on long island!! . I devoured, one third of Pesto with gnocchi and grilled chicken before taking pic! And their bread (warm) is sooo good!!

I was craving seafood, and Vincent’s Clam Bar came up, so we had to give it a try! Reservations are recommended but not required. We only waited about 5 minutes on a Friday night… surprisingly quick! You can’t go to a clam bar without ordering clams!!! Raw Clams: Fresh, large, and served with cocktail sauce and horseradish. Can’t go wrong! Baked Clams: A must order! The breading was flavorful, and had the perfect crispy crunch. Mussels in White Wine Sauce: Generous portion with fresh mussels. The white wine sauce was rich, buttery, and perfect for dipping bread. Seafood Salad: My favorite was the calamari. It was perfectly tender with a bouncy texture, not rubbery/chewy. It also came with shrimp, scallops, mussels, and large crunchy croutons. Vincent’s Classic Combination: We chose the fried calamari and fried shrimp. The breading was light, crispy, and not oily. The sauce leaned on the sweeter side, even though we requested it spicy. My only complaint is that I wish it came with more linguine. Napoleon: Light, flaky, and not overly sweet. A great way to end the meal. Overall, fresh seafood in generous portions with classic Italian flavors. If you’re looking for a solid sea

We just had another wonderful dinner at Vincent’s! When we walked in shortly after 5:00 this afternoon, the restaurant was already bustling with customers. Despite how busy it was, Jenna greeted us warmly and seated us right away. She was friendly and welcoming. Our server, Paul B., provided excellent service throughout our meal. He was attentive, professional, and very pleasant. My husband ordered the Chicken Panzanella, which came with a side of pasta. He chose linguine with medium-spicy tomato sauce. The portion was enormous! I completely forgot to take a photo until he was halfway through his meal. I ordered the Linguine Pescatore, and my portion was just as generous. Both dishes were delicious, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. We had plenty of leftovers to enjoy tomorrow, which is always a bonus. Needless to say, we left happy, and satisfied.

Vincent's definitely lives up to the hype. Great service, great food. Our waiter was a classic Italian-American with tons of personality and a bit of sass. He knew the menu inside and out and completely anticipated our needs, bringing out a sample of the hot sauce so we could test the heat level before committing to our dishes. The portions here are massive, and I think their bread is homemade. The Sacchetti moneybags pasta in vodka sauce is SO good, and the chicken parm with penne in the medium sauce was also delicious. Definitely go with the medium sauce. The spicy hot sauce is great but it packs a punch, even for someone who's used to spicy food. We wrapped up with the Napoleon dessert, which was huge. Highly recommend this place.
